Sounds fine to me.. For that ride I reckon we kick off a bit earlier than 7am to get through Bris-vegas without too much Sunday morning markets traffic. Perhaps putting us back at my place for a BBQ lunch..
Ideally it would be good to do this on the 21st of Jan, but my work calendar says "fly out to Japan". There is a distinct possibility, says the corporate travel agent, that I can't get a hotel booking at the conference in Okinawa.. What a shame - just have to go riding instead. Will keep ya posted.
Sigh... hotel bookings confirmed. Can't get out of Tokyo and Okinawa trip now.. A ride in Feb could be a goer tho!
Sitting in the JAL Sakura lounge at Osaka Int'l Airport (Kansai) ..sucking up their wifi..
At last, on the way home. I really shouldn't complain - flying around for work is certainly better than a poke in the eye with the burnt end of a pointy stick. I realise that I will only have 3 weeks between getting home, and then flying out again (Conference at Bali). So, while I'm dead keen for G.Coast ride, maybe we should stick to the short rides on the north-side for time sake. I like to keep the Missus happy and actually spend a few minutes of the weekend with her. So how about Mt Mee for a scoot? Northside.. shortish.. - meet at albany creek BP. - go out along Eatons crossing rd - Head to Dayboro village via Clear Mt - Stop at Dayboro bakery for the mandatory ice-coffee milk, sausage roll, and chat (ie tell Brett how loud is damn bike is) - head up Mt Mee - come back to brissy either via Caboolture or back the way we went.. with a divert through petrie and strathpine. (maybe the latter as the Bruce Highway is crap with roadwords at the moment) Still could do a BBQ at my place afterwards.. Probably have to be a sunday.. Will also see if Brian (a friend from Ice Hockey and CBR600 owner) wants to go. Although reading news.com.au it seems the weather has been a tad hot.. |
